1966 : S+T opens a factory in Jestetten, in Germany, dedicated to manufacture of micro needles and ophthalmic needles, and, sutures.
1990 : US Surgical (Covidien) purchases Jestetten micro needle factory from S+T.
1994 : US Surgical closes Jestetten Factory of micro needles and ophthalmic needles.
1995 : 4 engineers, in particular Henry Frenzel and Joachim Brohammer, from US Surgical Jestetten specialised in manufacturing of micro needles launch a new company, FSSB.
2001 : FSSB becomes the world leader in micro needles and in ophthalmic needles.
2003 : FSSB expends its needle production to regular needles with length of 16mm and above.
2014 : Factory of Neustadt/Orla moved to new and bigger facilities in Poessneck, Germany.
2016 : FSSB has joined Surgical Specialties Corporation making the combination of FSSB and Surgical Specialties one of the largest, if not the largest manufacturer of surgical needles worldwide.
